1st Birthday Party

Well, how can I put this nicely, Hallie's first birthday party was quite a disaster.  We had the party at the clubhouse in our subdivision.  We had it all decorated super cute for her princess theme.  Many of our wonderful friends and family were there.  However, the birthday girl was not a happy camper.  She was running a pretty high fever, but the nurses at the doctors office kept putting it off on her 12 month shots that she recieved 2 days earlier.  She ended up having a double ear infection when we went the doctor the following Monday.  Needless to say, she did not enjoy herself at all.  She did not want any part of the party.  She would scream everytime time someone touched her, talked to her, or even looked at her.  She didn't want to open presents, so Mommy, Makenzie, and CJ did that for her.  She got a ton of cute presents.  She didn't want to put her hands in her cake either.  Mommy and Daddy fed it to her.  She loved it, just didn't want to touch it.  She is not a big fan of things being on her hands anyways.  The only thing that made her happy was putting her feet and hands in the pool.  It probably cooled the poor baby off!  We are so thankful that everyone came and tolerated our sick and unhappy child.  Here are some pictures from the party:
